A mortgage is a long-term loan used to purchase property. Instead of paying the full price upfront, you contribute a down payment and borrow the balance, repaying it over 10–25 years.

Wall Street Realtors connects you directly to MREIF and NHF — government-backed schemes with significantly lower rates than commercial banks, meaning you pay less monthly and save millions over the loan lifetime.

MREIF (9.75% p.a.) — Below-market residential financing for salaried and self-employed buyers. The most widely used scheme on WSR Lagos purchases.

NHF (7–8% p.a.) — Nigeria’s lowest mortgage rate, via the Federal Mortgage Bank. Requires 6+ months of active NHF contributions.

RSA Pension Fund — Up to 25% of your Retirement Savings Account used as equity. No monthly repayment from your income for this portion.

Borrowing amount depends on income, existing commitments, equity contribution and scheme. Lenders typically allow 4–5x your annual income. WSR runs a free pre-qualification that gives you a clear number before your property search.
